My wife and I own a three family building in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn and were in need of more space. We decided to stay put in our house and create a duplex with the first and second floors. We kept the third floor as a rental unit. After meeting with several architects, we decided to go with NC2 because we felt they just understood what what we were trying to do. Richard and Michael helped us create an amazing home. They were not only easy to work with but incredibly professional. They also had great ideas that we didn't think of which made the project better than we had imagined. Everyone who walks into our house for the first time is blown away. If I had another project I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Dmitriy Shenker of Shenker architects was able to design a function addition to our two family home, one that would allow the space we were looking for to be added to our existing home while staying within the perimeters prescribed by the building department. We spoke with many architects and were advised that the additions we were looking to make were not possible, however Mr. Shenker was able to design a 3rd floor addition which extremely well. He was accessible throughout the design / build process and was of great help in finally getting our certificate of occupancy when construction was finished. If you are looking for a honest reliable service, you have found it.

Nick is extremely thorough from the first initial email all the way to communicating with expediter, engineer, and Department of Buildings. He walked us step-by-step in each phase of the renovation process. His drawings are precise and he takes great care to be as accurate as possible. I'll update again after we hear back from the DoB, but so far, I'd HIGHLY recommend SimpleTwig!
